A Bit About Me
I'm Amina Banks and this is my poetry portfolio. A lot of my inspiration for my poems comes from activities that we use for free writes at the beginning of Artworks. I am also very interested in Theatre and I have starred in three musicals so far. I plan to use the skills I learned from this program and continue writing poetry.

Like a labyrinth it changes with every move
I just want to scream
Where do I go?

Where am I even going?
I want to escape

With one ghoul eye
Aren’t you afraid of yourself
Aren’t you scared of what your capable of
How long are you going to pretend
Someone’s going to get hurt
You’re not human
You’re not ghoul
What are you
What are you going to decide to be
You can’t be indecisive forever
You have to choose
There is no way to get out of this

Poetry is a freeing form of writing and has no rules and can be done in any way. Poetry can change the world by changing the way a person thinks or feels. My own poetry does that because I like to leave my poetry open ended so people can interpret it in different way and that can make people think of different things and open their mindset.
